Hat Making
Suzie Mahony
On Tuesday the 26th of September, Suzie Mahony came to our school to teach us how to make hats.
The first group did the hat making in the morning while we did dancing. Then we switched for the afternoon. We then began to our hats. Suzie gave us all a base and showed us how to thread a needle. Some people found threading it easy, but I found it difficult as it was my first time doing it. We then were aloud to pick any material that we liked or wanted on our hats. I picked some black silk and red flower. I then sowed them onto the base, the way Suzie showed us how. I then tied a knot in the thread and cut the waste thread off. We all then placed our hats on our heads and bunched together for a group photo.
Overall, I found the hat making a good experience and I would try it out again!
